The voice of refugees and asylum seekers in the Wakefield District

Re-organisation

Rasa will be moving upstairs in the week beginning 28 July. This will give us a waiting room and reception, more space for office work, and better facilities for working with clients in peace and privacy. We will be closed for most of that week for the move and for volunteer training.

We will re-open on Monday 4 August with a new appointment system in place and with a number of other organisational improvements. We think the whole experience of coming to Rasa will soon be a lot better and the help we can offer will hopefully also improve.

Refugee Week 2008

We are very happy that Mary Creagh MP again agreed to host our refugee week celebration this year. There was also Music, Refugee Stories, Volunteer Awards, Q&A panel, networking opportunities - and a FREE lunch!

Welcome to new development officer!

We are happy to welcome Peter Barrett to his new role in Rasa. Peter started working with us in May and he's already made quite an impact. Together we hope to get more organised and efficient so we can serve our communities even better.
